Writing is an expression, it is an art - for some it is a form of worship; God is in the quiet of our true self. The noise and clutter of life must dwindle to a distant afterthought in order for our hearts to open to wonders designed for us. As you write thoughts become fleeting, noise drowns out and your mind becomes focused; as this happens your heart and mind become close and the words being typed slowly transition from carefully formed arguments and statements to the expression of soul in written words.
There are few things in life that I say I must do or have or be a part of. Writing is one of those things - it is when I write that I feel whole, true and closest to God. I don't know if it's the doodles that make up most of the pages or the setting I put myself in. For me - writing is worship. I don't do it for other people, it's not for the hope of getting published or showing off talent. I write because in the act of writing I worship; I write for the process not for the final product.
Sweet dreams!
